This is the third time that I have received the invitation to publish my research paper with LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing (see the end for the email message). I first got an email from them on 18/03/2016(see the end for the email message).
It looks very appealing, especially for recent graduates or junior lectures who desperately need publications for their career.
There have been many other people who have received the same invitation and many of them have fallen into the trap. There have been full analyses of this scam. You can easily find this out by googling “Lambert Academic Publishing spam”.
I won’t write much about what is already on the blogosphere, here are several blogposts worth a glimpse. Click the links.

Dear Benard Mumo Makaa,
Are you the author of work entitled « Wireless Power Transmission using Solid State Tesla Coils »?It was apparently written at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in 2015.
I’m Carolyn Evans from the editorial team of Lambert Academic Publishing.
I believe this particular topic could be of interest to a wider audience and we would be glad to consider publishing it. We would be especially interested in publishing a complete academic work of yours (a thesis, a dissertation or a monograph) as a printed book. Our services are free of charge for authors.
Benard Mumo Makaa, would you agree to receive more information in an electronic brochure?
Thank you in advance.
Sincere regards,
Carolyn Evans

I fell for this and actually requested for the catalogue which they sent as links to download.
See below response:
Dear Benard Makaa,
Thank you for your reply and your interest in our offer.
Upon getting acquainted with your scientific activities, we assumed that you are an expert in this field and might be interested in publishing your academic papers. We are interested in monographs, scripts, diploma theses, master theses, dissertations and lecture notes that are at least 42 pages long.
Please click on the following link to download our e-brochure with more detailed information about our services:

Should we not reach an agreement, all your data will be deleted from our records.
Besides, we offer our authors a one-time opportunity – not only can you purchase your book with a significant discount till 70 % on our partner online bookstore morebooks.de, but by buying a certain amount of copies of your own book to observe its publication, you can influence your book’s price on the market. However, the offer is completely optional.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Carolyn Evans
I did not sent any manuscript and this is what I received on
—–the invitation I received on 11/03/2017—–
Dear Benard Mumo Makaa,
to follow up where we left off – did you manage to have a look at the brochure I sent you? If you have some questions (and I’m sure you do because publishing your work is a major achievement), let me know when I could call you to clarify those.
If everything is clear, however (I hope the brochure was informative enough, our marketing department worked hard on that), to go forward with the publishing process: please send me your manuscript.
After an internal review, I would send you our publishing contract.
From there onward the process is straight-forward, and we can have your book out in the market within a few weeks
Sincere regards,
Kristine Vasaraudze,Editor

Hello eveyone,
I would like to inform all of you who are still hesitating about publishing a book with Lambert Academic Publishing. I do not advise you at all to publish with this publishing house because that’s just a single SCAM!
Just to inform you about my personal case, when I published a book with Lambert Academic Publishing, the price for the book was 36€. They provided me the possibility to get a discount of 15% if I purchased at least 3 copies with 9.9€ of shipping cost.
Once I purchased 3 copies of my book, they dicreased the price from 36€ to 28.49€ without my agreement. It means my commission of 12% per book sold went from 4.5€ (36 x 12%) to only 3.4€ (28.49 x 12%). AND WORST, people who purchase my book on online retailers, such as on Amazon, do not have to pay any shipping cost, whereas Lambert Academic Publishing obliged me to pay almost 10€ for that. At the end, Lambert Academic Publishing decreased my price without my agreement, my commissions are worse than expected at the beginning and they scamed me when they provided me a discount whereas, as an author, I paid my book for even more expensive than normal clients.
AND THAT’S NOT FINISHED. During the making of the contract at the beginning, they tell you that everything is for free with them and that we don’t have to care about that. However, if you make a mistake in the copy you gave them and you want to correct it, you have to pay 150€, whatever the thing to change (I’m not kidding).
Of course, they don’t want to recognize anything and they think everything is normal. I sent them like 10 emails during the last weeks, just for asking them to stop publishing and selling my book and guess what?! THEY NEVER ANSWERED ME AND THEY ARE STILL PUBLISHING AND SELLING MY BOOK WITHOUT MY AGREEMENT.
I do hope this message will be shared, this will impact their image, maybe it will warm Lambert Academic Publishing about their methods and maybe they will finally stop selling my book.
Best regards to all authors.
i think you’re just winning, the publisher is genuine i have a number of publication with them. The contract terms are very clear especially with regards to IP , in case of error or mistakes they have stated upfront the cost, and since you’re the one doing your editing its your responsibility to check for any errors, my advice to you take responsibility and stop winning.
they never force anyone to publish with them, they simply give you an offer and its within your right to accept or reject.
I want to publish my masters degree dissertation.
Hello, Farheen, currently, we do not offer publishing services.
Thank you Bernard for the alert. This should go out to all academicians, the study hours are too rigorous to afford losing your work to such fraudsters. Keep up the good work
Thank you. You can help by sharing out the article with your friends.
Thank you very much for revealing the truth. Smart people!
Hello Benard!
I’m Arta from Lambert Academic Publishing. I sincerely thank you for this article and your opinion!
Sure thing it is interesting to read all these various negative feedbacks and articles from persons who mostly have not even published with us. Unfortunately, it’s a fact that negative comments are spreading quite faster than the positive experiences most of our authors have made. We are constantly improving our procedures to make sure that the authors’ and readers’ queries are considered. We are investing the major part of our resources in constantly updating and adjusting our system, so that the authors may realize the benefits of free-of-charge publication. You may find that more than 112,000 authors Liked our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/OmniScriptum/
Another good thing to know about us is that we do not wait for authors to come to us with their academic works, but we approach them actively ourselves. A multitude of scientific works is continuously written in universities and colleges of higher education. We like to identify those which are worth to be published because of their quality and topicality. Our goal is to get authors and their professional audience together as well as to spread knowledge. We are contacting a large number of authors because only after reviewing these scientific papers we can decide about expanding our portfolio with certain papers.
Last but not least, we are taking constructive criticism very seriously, as it helps to increase the quality of our service. However, you may find that most of the negative comments have been posted by persons, who did not even publish with us – thus haven’t been able to form an opinion about our publishing services from an impartial point of view. Of course, you may feel free to consider all advantages and disadvantages of our publishing system and make a decision regarding the publication.
Have a nice day!
I was invited to publish our book with Lambert Academic Publishing. I did submit the final version, but after about 6 weeks I sent three reminders. The reminder was could not be delivered although the ID was same.
Is it a SCAM?
